Parameters Optimization of UAV for Insulator Inspection on Power Transmission Line

In recent years, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology has been widely used in power transmission line inspection. UAV operating parameters determine the quality of acquired insulator image, which directly affects efficiency Regarding inspection ceramic insulators, this work establishes a three-dimensional (3D) model and simulates changes shooting distance, angle, height through three geometric transformations: rotation, translation, scaling. The influence those (the height) on integrity ce-ramic steel cap is studied. infrared zero value detection 110kV It found that best setting for obtaining maximum area is: distance 3 - 7 meters, 1 meter below center string, depression angle 0°. method proposed paper will provide theoretical practical basis in-depth intelligent insulators.
